| - Karl Michaelson - kmichaelson@carolina.rr.com - E Division - During our Dry Dock stay in Long Beach, California, the ship put together a softball team to play in the base league. Well, the Eagles won the league and the tournament...beat some Coast Guard team...almost broke out into a fight when someone pushed the Captain...then invited everyone to the O-Club to celebrate. The ship's secretary was taking names as to who was there. He kept telling everyone don't be on the UA list..$1800 dollar bill later, we all left. The next morning the softball team was asked to go to the CO's office. He handed us the keys to the duty van and asked us to go pick up the ship's secretary...it was 1130 and he was late!!!! |
